Foreword
"Erudit" is a game the history of which goes back to the past. It is the most exciting intellectual word game in the world. Erudit will be enjoyed by those who like spending leisure time playing smart games. It fits both the thrilling single combat eye-to-eye and pleasant rest among friends and family. Rule of the game
The aim of the game is to earn as many points as possible making words on the board.
There are 133 tokens of various colours in a bag. As the most wide-spread letters of the English language are F, T, B, Y, J, the make the largest number in the set. All of them are placed on white tokens each of which makes 1 point. Less wide-spread ones are D, L, K, etc. They are placed on the yellow tokens and each makes 2 points. U, Q, etc are placed on the green tokens and make 3 points. The more expensive letters are placed on the blue tokens and make 5 points. The least wide-spread letters A, W, I, O are placed on the brown tokens and make 10 points. There are 3 red tokens in the set with a star. These tokens can be defined by the player as any letter.
The game field is a big checked square (15х15). Some little squares are painted different colours: green, blue, brown and red.
The green colour of the field means that the value of the letter which is located on it is doubled. If a letter is located on the blue field its value is trebled. If a written word goes through the brown field the value of the word is doubled, if it goes through the red field its value is trebled.
7 squares in each corner of the screen are the places for the players’ tokens.
From 2 up to 4 persons can play together.  Tokens are given out of the bag in the number of 7. The turn to lead first belongs to the player who has the biggest sum of the points of the received letters.
It is allowed to make only common nouns of the nominative case, singular. It is allowed to write diminutives which have its own meaning. Shortcuts are forbidden to write.
The first word is made accidentally and goes through the center of the field.
All words made by the players must go through one or several letters which have been already set on the field. It is not admissible to write diagonally.
The words is counted only in case it is limited with blank squares in the beginning and at the end or with the verge of the field. It is allowed to make a word of all the tokens within one lead. The number of words is not limited.
The player can replace any number of his letters with other letters from the bag but it will be counted as a lead.
A separate word in reference with the red tokens with stars. There are 3 of them in the set. There are no letters on them. This token can be used to denote any letter according to the desire of the player. Its value will be equal to the token chosen. The points for each lead are added to the total sum of points. The player can also leave out his lead.
The game is considered to be over when at least one of the players doesn’t have any tokens in his bag.
The player wins who get the largest number of points by the end of the game.

Start the game

To start the game with the computer or the player at the same computer choose menu «New Game». As a result you will see the icon of the new game settings. In this icon you can set the time a player is given to lead as well as to set your opponents. Either computer or a player can be chosen as an opponent. In case one of the opponents is set as «Player» when it is turn for this opponent the second player will take the  control. Thus two, three or even four persons can play at the same computer.  

The process of the game
The game field is a big checked square (15х15).
In the beginning of the game there is a word in the field. A player has 7 tokens (letters). You must make new words of these tokens which will go through already set letters on the field. It is only allowed to make common nouns of the nominative case singular. It is allowed to write diminutives which have its own meaning. Shortcuts are forbidden to write.
It is necessary for the words to have as many points as possible. The number of points is counted in the following way: the value of all the tokens is summed up which are set on the field and make new words.
Each token has its value:
A, I, O, W – 10 points
M, P, S, X  – 5 points
Q, U, Z – 3 points
С, D, G, H, K, L, N, R, T, V – 2 points
B, E, F, J, Y – 1 point
The number of points may be multiplied if the word goes through colourful fields. The green colour of the field means that the value of the letter which is located on it is doubled. If a letter is located on the blue field its value is trebled. If a written word goes through the brown field the value of the word is doubled, if it goes through the red field its value is trebled.
The words is counted only in case it is limited with blank squares in the beginning and at the end or with the verge of the field.
As soon as the appropriate word is set all its letters are marked with stars. When a player can’t make any word of the tokens left he can press the «END OF TURN».
The player can replace any number of his letters with other letters from the bag but it will be counted as a lead.
It is necessary to press the button «REDIAL» and press on all the tokens which are to replace. After that you should press «END OF TURN».
A player can get a red token with a five-pointed star. This token can be used to denote any letter according to the desire of the player. After he has set this token on the field he will be offered to choose the letter the star can substitute.

Net game.
Erudit can be played by several persons at different computers. You should choose the menu «Net Game». To play the net game one player must make the game and the others should join him.
After having chosen the menu Net Game you will see the icon in which it is possible to order a new game or join the already existing one.
